Contrary to what you might think from looking at this picture, I love manual labor! This is particularly ironic because my dear husband HATES manual labor. I so enjoy being able to look at what I've accomplished and see a definite improvement. While I love teaching, students to not show immediate improvement the way logs do when they've been spit and stacked. (All the wood below, we split and stacked all but 1 1/2 rows of it!)
The most adifficult part wast the rain! It was too warm (or we were working too hard) to wear rain coats, but it was raining too hard to not wear rain coats. In the end we all just toughed it out and got really wet. I was so glad I did not wear a white t-shirt! (Isn't Nathan so cute when he's been working hard!)
